Description:
Journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, the starting point of the trek. The drive follows the Prithvi Highway, passing through Malekhu, Damak, and several small towns, crossing rivers, and winding along the hillside. You'll get to witness the picturesque landscapes of terraced fields, lush forests, and rivers while traveling along the Trishuli River. The drive is long but provides a beautiful introduction to Nepal’s rural landscapes.
Upon arrival in Machha Khola, you'll find a small village situated on the riverbank, where you’ll stay overnight before starting your trek the following day.

Trek begins with a gradual ascent from Machha Khola along the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail passes through small villages like Khorla Bensi and Lapubesi, where you’ll enjoy glimpses of rural life in the lower Himalayas. The path is varied, with several steep ascents and descents, crossing suspension bridges over the river along the way.
After crossing Khorla Bensi, the trail gradually ascends through dense forests and small agricultural terraces before reaching Jagat, a charming village that marks your entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area. The village offers a warm welcome, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

Trek continues through the Manaslu Conservation Area, heading towards Lokpa, which is the gateway to the Tsum Valley. The day’s trek is a combination of moderate ascents and descents, and the route follows the Budhi Gandaki River.
From Jagat, the trail climbs gently, passing through the village of Sirdibas. You’ll trek through rhododendron and pine forests, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding hills. After Sirdibas, the trail continues to Philim, a beautiful village that serves as a junction for trekkers heading toward Tsum Valley and Manaslu.
Beyond Philim, the landscape starts to change as you enter the more remote parts of the trek. Trek to Mu Gompa, the highest point of your trek. The trail gradually climbs, offering panoramic views of the Tsum Valley and surrounding peaks. As you pass through isolated areas, you'll encounter Tibetan Buddhist symbols like chortens and prayer flags.
The path becomes steeper as you approach Mu Gompa, a significant Buddhist monastery at 3,700 meters. After a rest day at Mu Gompa, retrace your steps back to Chhekampar. The descent is easier compared to the ascent, with beautiful views of the valley as you make your way down. You’ll pass by several small villages, prayer flags, and mani walls along the way.
The trek offers a chance to appreciate the landscapes from a different perspective and enjoy the serenity of the Tsum Valley. After 4-5 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Chhekampar, where you’ll spend the night, ready to continue your journey in the days ahead.

Today, you’ll trek from Chhekampar back to Lokpa. The trail descends gradually through the Tsum Valley, passing through lush forests and small Tibetan-style villages. You’ll enjoy views of the surrounding peaks and the peaceful atmosphere of the valley.
As you walk through Chumling and other villages, you’ll notice the cultural significance of the area, with prayer flags and mani stones marking the path. After about 5-6 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive back in Lokpa, where you can relax and reflect on the stunning journey through the Tsum Valley.

Descend from Lokpa to Jagat, retracing your steps through the scenic landscapes of the Manaslu Conservation Area. The trail descends through lush forests and villages, crossing several rivers and suspension bridges.
Along the way, you’ll pass through Philim and Sirdibas, with glimpses of rural life and beautiful mountain views. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Jagat, where you’ll spend the night resting before continuing your journey back to Kathmandu.

Descend from Jagat to Machha Khola, following the same route you took on the way up. The trail continues along the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through small villages and terraced fields. You’ll cross several suspension bridges and experience the rural charm of the area.
The descent is relatively gentle, offering more opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty and serenity of the surroundings. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Machha Khola, where you’ll rest for the night, preparing for the drive back to Kathmandu the following day.
